How can I replace my Accessory Kit?
There are two ways. Complete Kits can be purchased, or you can replenish any of the components to keep your kit complete. Most users prefer to purchase components as needed.
Can I reuse the Accessory Kit components?
Most components cannot be reused. The exceptions are the Key Slot/Mounting Screws and Insert Screws. Do Not attempt to reuse Prep Wipes, Primer Sticks or Locking Strips.
Do Locking Strips wear out?
Yes, Locking Strips have a lifecycle of approximately 1000 engagements before you need to replace them.
Can Locking Strips be substituted if I don’t have the right size?
Locking Strip components have been carefully designed and tested to provide optimum engagement, disengagement and holding strength for each component. Strip sizes and specifications are based on both size and stem count. Using the wrong size or stem count can adversely affect proper engagement, stability, and disengagement of the system and should not be done. In tactical conditions, this can be critical.
You can use the .75”x 3” or the .75” x 4” Locking Strip with the Weaponholder if you do not have a .75” x 2.6” Strip. Caution: DO NOT USE THE .75” x 2.6” LOCKING STRIP WITH THE BUTT PLATE.
Tip: Depending on weather conditions, the adhesive on Locking Strips can take up to 72 hours to reach its maximum cure strength. Whenever possible, preplace strips allowing adequate time for maximum curing. Using the primer sticks can shorten curing times to approximately. 24 hours
