Both the Weaponholder and the Butt Plate contain key slots as a mounting option. Key Slots allow both components to be quickly and securely mounted and removed. Like Locking Strips, Key Slot Screws can be permanently mounted in several locations to be immediately available when needed. Key Slot screws can also be used to permanently mount the Butt Plate
Key Slot Screws (KS-1.25) are packed two per poly bag in each of the Weaponholder and Butt Plate Accessory Kits. Permanent installation in multiple locations makes carrying a couple replacement packs a good idea. Replenish Accessory Kits with Key Slot screws as you would with Prep Wipes, Primer Sticks and Locking Strips.

Can Key Slot Screws permanently installed?
Yes, they can. The portability of the Weaponholder allows you to use it in dozens of locations. Having Key Slot screws and Locking Strips in place in locations you frequent allows you to mount and remove the weaponholder in seconds.
Can Key Slot screws be used for anything besides Key Slots?
Yes. In many locations they can be used to mount the Butt Plate. In addition to the two key slots, the Butt Plate has five countersunk mounting holes that allow you to mount it on any plane. Depending on the surface you are mounting to, Key Slot screws work extremely well as mounting screws.
Tip: Always carry a couple of extra bags of Key Slot screws in your Accessory Kits.
