The System
The Weaponholder System was originally developed for military & tactical use. Awarded 8 Patents, this technology is now available to American Hunters and Marksmen.
Designed to secure your weapon yet provide immediate access to it, the System has two components that function independently or as System.
Molded from V-O rated GFN resin with strategic Soft-touch overmolds, the Weaponholder is light weight, portable, and has multiple attachment methods offering temporary or permanent installation and retrofitting to secure your weapon in thousands of locations.
The Camo Pattern
Our MC2 Snow System has all the terrific features of the Standard System with a hydrographically applied Snow camo pattern. The MC2 Snow pattern combined with the architecture of the Weaponholder and the uniqueness of immersion printing, guarantees, like fingerprints, every part will be unique.
In the forefront of a snowy landscape, MC2 Snow features overlapping limbs blended with twigs and brush to create an incredible multidimensional camouflage pattern. Shades of tan, gray and green surface above the hazy backdrop, making this pattern ideal for scrub lands, high timber, cedar breaks, mixed timber, and brushy terrain. This high-resolution pattern combines light and dark contrasts, along with snow covered branches to create one of the most detailed and efficient snow patterns on the market.
The Weaponholder
The Weaponholder secures the barrel of your weapon. It can be used independently or with the Butt Plate as a System. The Weaponholder has three main sections: an Upper Platform, a Connecting Stem, and the Lower Platform. Each section contains several specialized features performing vital functions which work together to secure the barrel in the Weaponholder and the Weaponholder to the mounting surface.
The Upper Platform
The Upper Platform includes a Track and Rail System, Locking Tabs, an Overmolded Center Ridge, Threaded Inserts and Strap Slots. Together these features allow you to change out Barrel Securing components in seconds. Components can be selected to accommodate conditions of use and a range of barrel diameters.
Locking Tabs located at one end of the rail engage with the Sheaths to assure proper positioning. A Center Ridge contains Threaded Inserts to secure Barrel Clips and has a strategically placed Soft-touch overmold for Zeroing and to prevent barrel slippage. The End Walls have Strap Slots for the One Piece or Quick Release Straps
The Connecting Stem
The Connecting Stem connects the Upper and Lower Platforms and creates an important functional space between the platforms. The space between platforms allows you to grasp the Upper Platform from below for quick attachment and removal from a mounting surface. The Stem contains elliptical anchoring points for the Adjustable Bungee Cords. The Stem’s design incorporates center ridge lines and a series of buttresses on both platforms. These design features provide both superior strength and functionality.
The Lower Platform
The Lower Platform’s purpose is to secure the Weaponholder to a surface. The platform provides several options for temporary or permanent mounting. These include Key Slots, Magnets and Locking Strips for temporary attachment and the option of screws or bolts for permanent attachment. Additional mounting options include Adjustable Bungee Cords and Releasable Cable/Zip Ties. The Lower Platform also features a Soft-touch overmold on the underside to prevent slippage, damage to vehicles and to act as a gasket on permanent installations.
The Butt Plate
The Butt Plate is designed to secure the butt stock and to work in conjunction with the Weaponholder. Together the System’s design allows you to mount your weapon on any plane while still allowing instant retrieval. Read the FAQ section to learn more.
A combination of mounting methods gives you the option to secure the Butt Plate temporarily or permanently. They include Key Slots, Locking Strips, Screws, Bolts and Releasable Cable/zip ties.
The underside of the Butt Plate contains a T-Shaped channel which houses a factory installed Locking Strip. Locking Strips allow you to securely mount the Butt Plate and remove it quickly. Locking Strips can be mounted in several locations, allowing you to move your System to and from frequently used locations. Key Slot screws provide a similar option of moving back and forth between locations. The Butt Plate’s design incorporates screw/bolt holes on all surfaces, allowing you to mount the Butt Plate on any plane.

What’s the difference between a Mil-Spec Weaponholder and a Standard Weaponholder?
Mil-Spec Weaponholders include every option we offer. Features included in the Mil-Spec Weaponholder that are not Included with the Standard Weaponholder are: a Mil-Spec Quick Release Strap, a color coordinated 18” Adjustable Bungee Cord, a set of 0.66” V-O Burn Rated Sheaths, a Powder Coated Metal 0.75" Barrel Clip w/Silicone Covers and 1 set of insert screws with hex wrench.
Would I be better off upgrading a Standard Weaponholder or purchasing a Mil-Spec Weaponholder?
A Mil-Spec Weaponholder costs $40.00 more than a Standard Weaponholder. Purchased separately, the additional components included in the Mil-Spec Weaponholder would cost $79.93. Our Opinion is if you’re a first-time buyer the Mil-Spec Weaponholder is a terrific value. If you’re thinking of upgrading a few features on a Standard System that’s a good investment too.
Does having the Quick Release Tab on a side opposite my dominant hand slow the retrieval of my weapon?
No. The QR Strap’s design allows you to decide which side you want the QR Tab on. Once you decide, left or right, mount the bottom part of the strap through the strap slot on side you want the QR Tab to be on. Then mount the top part of the strap with the QR Tab on the opposite side of the Weaponholder.
Are the magnets in the Weaponholder strong enough to secure my weapon?
A magnetic connection will provide a holding force of approximately 25 lbs. It’s ok to use them against a vehicle or other metal object while staging, but they will not provide a secure connection as the can be easily disengaged by outside forces.
When I use the Metal Barrel Clip on the Weaponholder will it scratch the barrel of my weapon?
No, the arms of the clip that secure the barrel have Silicone Clip Covers that prevent metal to metal contact. Be Aware the Silicone Covers on the Barrel Clip do need to be replaced from time to time. If you see they’re worn, replace them.
Can I put a hot barrel in the Weaponholder?
Yes. Both the V-O rated Sheaths and the Silicone Clip Covers can accommodate barrels with temperatures in excess of 480° F.
Can I use my Weaponholder for anything besides securing my weapon?
Yes. You can use the Weaponholder while zeroing your weapon in place of sand bags. The system can also secure your weapon during maintenance.
If I lose or break any part of the Weaponholder or Butt Plate, can I get a replacement part?
Yes, all System components are replaceable with one exception. The Magnets in the Weaponholder must be factory installed
Will I ever need to replace the strap?
Yes, depending on the number of open/close cycles your strap is subjected to, hook and loop will lose its strength over time. If you notice your strap’s peel strength is starting to weaken, we suggest you replace it to maintain maximum protection of your weapons. This is normal for all hook and loop products
Why do I see the Butt Plate being used parallel to a wall?
Parallel to the wall prevents optics and other attachments from hitting the wall.
How do I quickly remove my weapon from the Butt Plate?
When you remove the barrel from the Weaponholder the heel of the butt stock lifts. As you continue to pull the barrel forward, lift your weapon out of the Butt Plate. You shouldn’t have to release the strap.
What’s the difference between a Mil-Spec Butt Plate and a Standard Butt Plate
The only difference is the Mil-Spec Butt Plate has a Quick Release Strap and the Standard Butt Plate has a one-piece 11” Strap.
Will I ever need to replace the strap?
Yes, depending on the number of open/close cycles your strap is subjected to, hook and loop will lose its strength over time. If you notice your strap’s peel strength is starting to weaken, we suggest you replace it to maintain maximum protection of your weapons. This is normal for all hook and loop products.
Tip: To help keep your strap clean, engage the hook and loop sections when not in use. This will help keep it clean and extend the life of your strap.
Tip: Always carry a few extra .75” x 4.0” Locking Strips as well as Prep Wipes and Primer Sticks. You’ll be surprised how often you’ll find places you regularly use or store your weapon.
Do I need to use a Prep Wipe before applying the Locking Strip.
Yes. Even if a surface appears to be clean, some dirt and oils may be present. Removing them will give the Locking Strip a much stronger bond.
Do I need to use a Primer Stick.
Yes. If you plan to use your system within 72 hours you should use a Primer Stick. Using a Primer Stick will allow the adhesive on the Locking Strip to achieve its maximum cure strength in a few hours versus 72 hours without the Primer. Mounting the Butt Plate to a Locking Strip before the adhesive has cured will most likely result in a weaker mount and may cause the Locking Strip to come off of the mounting surface when the Butt Plate is removed.
Should I ever replace the Locking Strip.
Yes. Locking Strip will wear out. Locking Strip has a life cycle of approximately1000 closure cycles depending on conditions and usage. That said, use your judgement. If the Locking Strip on your Weaponholder, Butt Plate or any of the surfaces you’ve mounted strips to appears damaged or worn, replace it. Even if there’s no visible sign of wearing and the holding strength seems to be weakening, replace the locking strip. This is a quick and easy step to ensure your system maintains its peak performance.
How do I clean my Locking Strip?
The two easiest and most effective methods are blowing compressed air or running water with a little soap. This should help to loosen and remove dirt and debris. Be careful when cleaning your Locking Strip not to damage the stems. In the event you are unable to remove materials that are causing problems, remove and replace the Locking Strip.
What is the best way to mount the Barrel Clip onto the Weaponholder?
The Barrel Clip is attached to the Weaponholder using a combination of pressure fit and screw attachments which provide over 700 lbs. of holding force between the Weaponholder and the Barrel Clip. The pressure fit attachment should take under a minute to install.
Tip: Wet the overmold on the top of the Center Ridge prior to installation. Don’t be afraid to use too much water. All components are waterproof
Start the installation by placing one end of the clip on the overmolded surface of the Center Ridge. Push downward on the two metal arms facing the MPWH so that they are below the outer rails. Push the clip forward so that the arms slide under the rails.
Tip: Push the Clip forward by applying pressure to the portion of the clip with the Silicone covers. Rewet the overmold if necessary. As you push the clip forward the front set of arms will engage in the slots in the rails. Push the Clip Arms downward one at a time to disengage them from the Rail Slots
Tip: Pushing one side at a time during this process is easier. When the front arms of the Clip have been pushed past the first set of Rail Slots, push the rear arms downward so they are below the Rails. Continue to push the clip forward until all four arms are engaged in the Rail Slots. When the Clip Arms are engaged, the holes in the Clip should line up with the threaded Inserts in the Center Ridge. Using the Allen Wrench, install the Insert Screws found in the MPWH Accessory Kit. Do not over tighten the screws. Doing so may strip the threaded inserts making them unusable.
